P0106 MAP Sensor

Just pulled this code. I had GMS1 installed about a year ago. Could this have to do with wiring coming loose? Car is running normal...

Edit: I just went out and looked at the two sensors. The top one looks fine. But I can't see the wires for crap on the lower one.

This does help. At least I know now it has to do with the lower sensor.

0107 is blown map sensor and 0106 is range high. Not which sensor it is.

9/10 seem to blow the sensor on the intake manifold tho. I would remove it and clean it with some MAF cleaner spray, then let it sit in the sun for a few and dry out before reinstalling it.

Nice, I will get this taken care of. Hopefully, cleaning the upper one one will fix this as the lower looks like it would be a **** to get to.

I used electrical parts cleaner spray to clean a MAF one time (worked great btw.) Will this work for the MAP sensor too?

Yea, thanks to BYT for clearing this up. i was unsure of the codes, but i threw it many times and mine was the top sensor all times. I did clean it with MAF spray like he told me to do and it worked after GM replaced it the 6th time lol. Weird its happening with the GMS1 kit

If you are ever wondering what the codes mean try this new thing... google lol.

Yes, the electrical parts cleaner will work fine. Just be sure to let it dry out well before reinstalling it.

Looks like I'll be cleaning my sensors in the next couple of days. Just yesterday I threw P0106 for the first time, and after a few restarts of the car (around town driving) the CEL and code are gone.

by bottom one do you mean the TMAP sensor? aka the hard one to get to? if so, how in the world did you get it off to clean it up? i'm trying to do the same thing but cannot for the life of me finagle my way in there to get it off. it's so cramped
