P0171, low boost top end

Hi I'm Alex, I've got a 05 SS/SC with CAI and custom 3" Catback. Had it tuned this summer and found out my stock injectors run at 160% load at top end but didn't have any issues except the injectors tap out at 6400 rpm in 1st and 2nd but run fine at 7200 in 3+. So to add to that I recently switched my dreaded eBay Cai for an AEM airbox replacement Cai and got a P0231 code. Replaced the fuel pump relay, code went away and now I can push it to 7200 in 1st and 2nd but i drop from 12.8 psi to 3.4psi but it stays up in each gear beyond. Not sure what's causing it. Any help would be much appreciated.

You're pushing your stock 2.0L 7 year old engine to 7200RPM? :-\...

Not enough fuel. Sounds like you're trying to push the engine way too far without proper parts.

I've got 60's I'm waiting to put on but I wanted to find out if the injectors are the issue to, if It's just that simple or if I'm looking at something bigger, I guess I'm more curious if anybody has ever had their stock injectors react that way to tuning? Par for the course or were mine super thrashed when I got the car?

Stock injectors are almost maxed out from the factory on a 3.4 inch pulley. Is that the pulley you are running or is it something smaller?

You've definitely got issues if your injectors are at 160% IDC on stock pulley

Well if you are losing boost, I'd check the bypass valve and solenoid. As for the fuel, maybe check the pressure at the rail to see if the pump is working right

If I remember right I pull the hose off the solenoid and plug it, if nothing changes the solenoid is bad right? As for fuel pressure, my scan gauge should tell me? Sorry if the questions are stupid or obvious, I'm new to the do it yourself thing

Not sure about the solenoid because my car doesn't have one. As for the fuel pressure, there is a valve on the fuel rail that you can hook a pressure gauge up to it and turn the key on so the pump kicks on and you can check it that way
