well im gunna see if it does it again since i put new plugs AGAIN (just to se if it was maybe a faulty plug or something because u know my luck joe lol), and put in some Seafoam and injector to see if maybe that makes a difference. Any chance that it was the IC pump failing that causes the problem at random??

Gap is good at .035, im running .040 myself on the same plugs.

Since its happened before it could be a coil pack(s)

This has happened on other cars.
Yeah, I'm working on getting a spare set, I would like to throw them in and see if it clears up. I just wish I could get it to happen all the time. Hate to think that it was fixed, only to have it come back in a month or some ****.

Yeah, you need to fix that too. Buy another one, I'll slap it on next time you are here.

Same NGK BKR7E's that hes been running for a long time. Well, a new set, but the same type.
You have to set those multipliers to not mess with the AFR. YOu are thinking 14.7AFR and probably getting 12.5, and that's at idle!

You gotta zero those suckers out!

I didn't do the tune, but I'll change it next time I see his car.

So you zero them, or make them 1.0? Its an adder value, correct?

I looked at it to make sure because I have been confused on all these different cars I mess with. On the Cobalt you ZERO it out because it is an adder, on some other cars you make it 1 because it's a multiplier.

Ok, thats what I thought, but you had said make it 1.0 earlier, so I wanted to confirm. I don't always trust HPT descriptions and stuff like that, its too easy to word it wrong. I'll make sure I clear that up on his car next chance I get. Should help with mileage as well.

Because you don't have a catylitic convert the car is thinking that the one you should have is overheating and is trying to make your AFR ~12.5 at idle.

Ive replaced evertyhing now, except for the sensors.

could the injector/plug wiring harness be faulty..??...check the resistance of the wiring for the harness....I know people mix the wires up when hooking them back up, I wonder if the wires may be faulty.

We are going to have to change the injector harness as well. I think the MAP sensor is the issue, based on the logs, but I still think that it might be something in the wiring. I don't really trust the fact that someone else was in the system before, something could have been damaged when the injectors were installed the first time, wires twisted, who knows.

No, that wasn't messed with before like the injectors. And only one thing at a time anyway.
