Exclamation p0300 with a twist

mods is in vb garage
basicaly 60s 2.7 psyko tuned
with autolites 1step colder
i keep getting p0300 from time to time
interceptor is sayin
cyl1 is gettin misfires at idle
between 6-14
and cyl2 2-6
3 and 4 shows no misfires.
cleaned the maf tb and regapped the plugs
to .038 per psykos recommendation.

My suggestion to elimanate some of the causes
First Switch the injectors around to eliminate those, and then the plugs .If the problem follow then you have your cause,if not then you will have to dig further.

Welcome to the wonderful world of 60# injectors. You will get 0300 codes at idle, that is common and nothing will fix it.

I am not kidding.

I have had this damn P0300 code randomly since I bought the car new in Nov 2007. I have no engine mods. I plan on trading it for a SS/TC anyway. I feel your pain man. Good Luck!

Get rid of the autolites, that's the first place to start, acdelco or ngk...

just did the coil swap
new spark plugs because
the one i took out was just
carbon build up and the washers
was not there.
still misfire in cyl1

next i swap inj 1 with inj 2
cleaned the rubber/plastic graythings a lil oil in them
slip em back in boom boom boom
now inj 2 misfires but not as high
the thing is now that 3 and 4 likes to join in the misfire fun.

update , went with ngk 1step still misfire
now on cyl 2 and 3 for the most part
3 can get as high as 9 misfires
and if 3 misfires 2 goes along with it
the initial gap of the ngk was 35 but there
was carbon build up on the outter part and
the tip was white so i regapped to 38
and see how that goes there is still misfires
according to the interceptor.
more to follow

update, back to autolites. they feel to me that the cqr runs better on them, no facts to prove it. but i tried .037 down to .033 .
at .033 the wideband is goin from 13.01-15.6 at idle at first startup
did a few pulls and let the car idle. wideband back to stable 13.8-14.9
but p0300 looms =(

the best gap so far for me is .035. the car does not hunt so much and
the least misfire beside the .033. the .033 has like 2 3 misfires for the short time i tried it. my spark plug is in my galery if you guys wanna
check out how its burning. im goin back to .035 and call it a day for
spark plugs and check else where.

I have this problem with my car too!!! I have a canned tune from zzp and have hated it ever since. I have 2 p0300 codes and a p103!! At idle the rpms bounce like a ****. Now I am having a problem with having back fire like symptoms under acceleration. I took a snap shot of it and fuel trims are -3.91% for s.t and -12.5% for l.t this **** is soooo confusing

more updates next week after i go back to stock take it to the dealer see what they say. Then i go install my meth with 90/10 and see if it still happens, or if it was inj all along.

I have had the same problem Idle is bouncing and its throwing P0300 multiple missfire, after installing the new stage 3 from zzp so I re gaped the plugs to .035 and cleaned the TB and it seems to have fixed both the idle and that damn light. for all you with those problems its a ten min job thats worth a try.
