p0603

need help guys, my friend has a 06 saturn ion redline. and he got t-boned and they totalled it. now he wants to art it out and wants to find out if the motor works. but the car wont start. it cranks but no fuel pressure. and gives code p0603. can anyone help?

Looks like the pcm is no good or needs to be reflashed.

DTC P0601, P0602, P0603, P0604, P0605, P0606, P0607, P060E, P1600, P1621, P1627, P1681, P1683, or P2610
Description
This diagnostic applies to internal microprocessor integrity conditions within the powertrain control module (PCM). This diagnostic also addresses if the PCM is not programmed.

DTC Descriptors
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTCs:

• DTC P0601 Control Module Read Only Memory (ROM)

• DTC P0602 Control Module Not Programmed

• DTC P0603 Control Module Long Term Memory Reset

• DTC P0604 Control Module Random Access Memory (RAM)

• DTC P0606 Control Module Internal Performance

• DTC P0607 Control Module Performance

• DTC P1681 Control Module Throttle Position (TP) System Performance

It might be broken from the crash ,but I dont know how you could tell for certain.

Check all the connectors on the pcm to make sure nothings loose !

oh ok. do they have like a safty switch for the fuel?
