My car has been acting really weird lately like missing firing/idleing proplems

I already replaced my spark plugs, thinking that it would have gotten rid of the proplem, but it didnt

Return it to stock before you take it in. If you don't they will probably try to blame it on your aftermarket parts.

Just take the intake off, and put the stock one back one. I dont think the exhaust will be a problem.

dont worry about an intake voiding ur pcm warranty. how can they even say the two are related. i would bring it in as is if they refuse to repair it call gm's main office and bitch or take it to another dealer. dealers are like the phone company. they always want to tell u that it is your problem not theirs. this way they make more money.

Basically from a computer stand point the PCM keeps losing it's configuration, then reverts back to default, take it, GM's Warranty, says that aftermarket parts only affect the ones it's touching, so if you throttle body goes and you have an intake then your screwed

id say its worth a shot taking the intake off....if there is nothing in their service notes that they physically wrote that says you had an intake on the car , then it will be your word against theirs.

At any rate, good luck with your repairs.

unfortunately thats how the dealer gets you on this...standard 1 hr diagnostic fee to find out what the problem is..then they determine what is was caused by and if its something related to the intake...right off the bat you are responsible for that diagnostic time even if no repair is done.
85 is cheap compaired to some dealers too...some charge over 100 bucks an hour. Our hourly rate was 90 which i think went up since i left.

but according to your warrenty rights through GM the modification must be related to the problem...essentially them blaming the intake is like blaming the telephone company for your tv not working....unrelated.
i would call GM and talk to someone in customer service.

Also read what you sign at the dealership....a good service advisor will write on the repair order (Customer to pay 1 hr diagnostic fee if problem is unrelated to a warrenty issue)
and will have you read and initial it.
If a dealership didnt charge diagnostic time...then everyone would go to the "GM Certified Techs" to find out what the problem is and then go down the road to Pep boys and get it fixed for half the price.

Makes sense, but isnt always what you want to hear or pay for.

I never had the misfiring and idling issues but I've thrown both those codes. P0603 is when the pcm forgets everything and reverts back to square one. Only time I've gotten it is when I ran the battery dead, and unplugging the battery to install my intake. I just cleared them and never threw that code anymore and well P0171 is a code that throws with every intake on this car...not often for me though.

Well if anyone has actually installed the CAI on this car, then you would know that its not just a simple bolt on, its a lot of work it take it off, put the stock one back on, and then put the K&N back on again. I think i am going to take my chances, and hope that my dealership is cool.
I have a another question though, can you take your car to another dealer to get serviced? i thought you had to go to the dealer you bought your car from?
