part fell into intake manifold

i took my blower off and one of the little metal cylinders that lines up the supercharger on the manifold fell out, and it sounded like it fell right into the intake manifold. i tried sticking a vacuum with a skinny attachment into it but i didnt hear anything get sucked up. is there anything else i can try to get it out besides taking out the manifold and shaking it out? i dont want to have to disconnect the cooling lines or anything

I'm pretty sure the guide cylinders you are talking about are steel. you could check if you have another one using a magnet. I would think that a flexible pen magnet is almost your only option other than removing the manifold.

o **** that sounds like fun... luckily i was warned about those little cylinders before doing my stage 2 otherwise id b in the same boat as you.

but yea i'd suggest a pencil magnet if that does do aluminum... which idk. otherwise yea go crazy with a vacuum or put the car upside down and shake it for its lunch money

i dont have one of those magnets, but i hooked up a small hose to the vacuum and dug around inside with it and didnt suck anything up. how far down could it have fallen? arent the coils right at the bottom?

Eek. That sucks. That's an alum piece too. I would leave nothing to risk, start tearing her down man. Sucks..but that is very fatal if a chunk that big got in there.

really wouldn't hurt to go and GET one of those pencil magnets... even though a vacuum didn't do the trick

I did that once. A magnet will work, but the manifold tends to curve around on the bottom and is usually oily, the piece gets lodged in there and doesn't wanna come out.

i replaced the coupler on the blower. but i have the manifold out now, and nothing is coming out of it. except for about 6000000 gallons of coolant. could it be lodged in there? and if it is what the hell can i do?

itll it the blower before it does the motor ^_^. if you shake it around you'd def be able to hear it though if not have it drop out.
