PCV Line Snapped SS/TC, Help!
PCV Line Snapped SS/TC, Help!
So, right behind the MAF is the PCV line, which when I looked under my hood today had snapped off!
Not sure how this happens, but has anyone else experienced this? I guess I'm going to my dealer pretty soon to get this fixed, but it looked like a pretty cheap little piece of plastic. I also noticed that my car seemed a bit underpowered. Can any of the people with car smarts on here tell me how this will affect my car if I drive it around like this for a day or two?
Thanks in advance!

YEP! Had mine break off. Its the PCV line, not the recirc line. I went to Oreilleys and bought a vented oil cap to keep the pressures down, then bought a replacement ASAP. It ran perfectly fine with the vented oil cap.
Thanks guys, I am heading out of town today so I won't have time to bring it in till Monday, but I will take mkriebs advice and go from there. For now I just electrical tapped it back together (kinda made a sling) to avoid getting dust in there as much as possible. But, at my next break I am off to get a vented oil cap!
The funny thing is that I have no clue how long it's been like that for but my car has never thrown a code, no CEL or anything...weird.

It won't throw a CEL as it is after the MAF. The unmetered air may cause the motor to lean out a bit but nothing bad. Use electrical tape to seal off the hole on the pipe so no unmetered air gets in and you can leave the line open to air.
Yeah, I used electrical tape to cover the hole, thats def needed for a couple reasons, so no umetered air gets in, and so no dust gets in. You could pop the oil dipstick temporarily so it relieves the pressure, but I would get the filtered oil cap ASAP. If you don't pop the dipstick, the pressure may pop it for you... which might not be good.
