Problems/Service/Maintenance Do you have problems with your new 2.0, 2.2, or 2.4L? What kind of service did you have done?

Possible suspension problem, or is it normal?

SS/NA, when I approach a small dip into the road, doing about 50KP/H the suspension make a sound like a the wheel is hitting the plastic wheel well, like its about to bottom out.

I know we have a sport suspension, so maybe I'm being too picky, but I just want to find out this is normal with everyone else.

Hey man,

FRONT SWAY BAR BUSHINGS FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!! JUST HAD MINE RELUBED. EVERY MORNING IN THE COLD IT WOULD SOUND LIKE A CRUNCHING PLASTIC SOUND ON THE RIGHT FRONT SIDE. GO TO THE DEALER AND TELL THEM TO CHECK THE BUSHINGS AND THE FRONT LINKS AS WELL. HOPE THIS HELPS.

There is a TSB for all Ions and Cobalts with the FE3 suspension package for the front sway bar bushings. This just happened on my 07 Ion 3 QC. The lube dries and the bushings tear, and the new bushings they replace them with are slightly redesigned. Man, if you would've searched you could've found my thread on this already!
