Power Steering

My ground wire on my sub came loose last night, so I stopped on the side of the road and hooked it back up. When I got back to my driver seat, the digital display that says mileage and temp was now saying power steering. Not sure what that meant I just drove home, nothing was different, till this morning. I get in my car and now my power steering doesn't work. Any ideas what the actual problem could be?
I checked fuse 19, and its not blown. I even took my battery off, thinking it may reset, but nothing(worked in my older car when i had a problem sometimes)
Any help would be great!
Thanks guys

First thing I would try is unhooking the sub ground again and see if the problem goes away.

Was the sub ground bouncing around on bare metal when you noticed it and causing surges through your electrical system,if so you might of damaged something electronic concerning your power steering.

Or it could be coincidence

How old is your car? Is it still under warranty? If so.........take it to the dealer and have them look at it.

well if you are taking it to the dealer make sure you get ALL of your sub equipment out...

There are fuses under neath the hood as well, like previously stated, so check those as well. If none of the fuses are blown, that could mean trouble..

Could of burnt out a trace on the BCM that runs between connectors.
What color was the wire and which side of the fuse were you on.
Pull the fuse and see if you attached to the feed side or the load side by using a meter to see which has 12 v on it(That would be the feed side)
Hard to do with out voltage present though.

Your i/p ign fuse powers both those circuts check it .Ithink its 20 amps
Its located in the fuse box under the hood.

no warranty left... I noticed too that the i button doesnt work, along with my air conditioning button or rear defrost... so If there is a specific fuse which controls all that, would be awesome to know, otherwise Im just bring it in to the Stealership to get ripped off, I mean fixed up
:-P

Its got to be a fuse, no wire would burn out, it has to be a blown fuse somewhere. You never did say whether you checked under the hood or not.

Did you read my post above.
Check the I/P ign fuse under the hood it feeds all those other fuses on the BCM

Just check them all... 30 fuses compared to the 24 hours this thread has been opened, you could be done by now...
