Downpipe Blew Apart

What would cause the flex pipe on the down pipe to shrivel up and die?

Oh yeah forgot to mention it was a ZZP downpipe that this happened to.

basically what everyone else said...poor design and extremely excessive heat

and its been known to happen on zzp's

ZZP is fine... have them warranty it or send you a new flex pipe! I have the ZZP catted downpipe and haven't had an issue!

Yeah only problem, I bought it off a member from here. It was brand new when I bought. I still have the box in the closest but I don't have an orginal bill of sale form ZZP.

I had a ZZP before with Cat and the flex pipe ripped in half. But it was from excessive heat and engine movement
