Power steering recall?

So who's got the recall taken care of? How long does it take?

mine took about an hour and a half. But I left my car up there for about a week. Had them do it while I was out of town. Didn't seem like a huge ordeal. Just depends on if your car has been called in to have the recall fixed or not.

I would probably drop it off. Would hate sitting there all day if it got backed up. But ask them, they should be able to tell you how long it will take.

I work at a dealership, so our service writer told me to bring it over one day, no letter or anything, gave it back to me a few hours later.

Talking

I was losing my power steering all weekend, dealer replaced power steering motor as per recall. Also had the purge solinoid replaced, dropped off at 7am done by pm.

Yay no more strong arm steering in the middle of a turn when it dicides to fail.

No joke, I'm afraid to drive, I'll end up wrapped around a tree.

Mine took 5 days...free rental though, they had to order the part, you would think after having it be a recall theyd have that **** in stock at every dealer.

I had my recall done yesterday at Rick Henricks Chevrolet in Duluth, Ga. I had the car in there at 07:45 and was out of there by 08:20. FYI..I had gone in earlier so they could confirm the VIN and order the motor. Once it came in, which was Tuesday, I was called and had an appointment for Wednesay at 07:45. My Service Rep was Frank English. Great guy.
