power window problems
I noticed today that my passenger winow was pretty slow.I think my drivers is too---it was faster but not by much.
Anyone else have this problem? Any TSBs on this?

i do the same thing, and the driver side is faster then the passenger side but not alot.. oh and the ****** top of my shift knob came off today when i was just drivin normally..just needed to vent a little bit there.. anyone else have this problem?

It's not unusual to observe the driver PWR window to be slightly faster than the passenger side due to a significantly longer electrical circuit (and resulting voltage drops)
The driver's side window motor is driven DIRECTLY from the "Express Down" electronics within the drivers switch assembly. But the passenger circuit current must pass out the drivers switch , travel all the way over to the RF door motor, then all he way back to the drivers door switch in the door, and THEN to the ground circuit back in the passenger compartment under the drivers seat.
You may notice that the RF motor runs slightly faster from the passenger side switch as the circuit is about 1/2 as long.
PS> There are no current TSBs related the power windows on the Cobalt

and the windows are very annoying, but oh well
I just got two new plates replaced on the driver and passanger side because the paint was chipping too .. .they now look good BUT now I have another problem!
Ok so I go to the dealer to pick my car up and find out that my drivers side window button wouldn't work. So they fixed that. ( Which makes me wonder why they didn't test all the windows before having me pick it up.. ) But in the process they screwed up my power locks on the drivers side.
They claimed it wasn't their fault but obviously it was since it worked before. Sooooo now they have to order some part for that. I am really ticked off. I mean obviously the doors lock and unlock by using the remote and when you shift it into park and drive, but this is rediculous! Hmm makes me think "if it ain't broke don't fix it" arghh
I still love my car though otherwise

The passenger side one goes so slow sometimes i think it wont close. one time the driver window made a popping noise when i went to put it up and i had to pull it up. it ended up popping off the track.
