problem with cruise control
any of you with a 2006 ss/sc ever lose your cruise conrtol?
its weird like its happened twice. it just stops working like won't even engage and so took it into chevy they reset something for the cruise and then it worked fine for a week then stopped working. actually when in fifth going sixty and tried to accel. with cruise it would cut off. it would work fine then just cut off after i held accel for like five seconds...
this happen to anyone else? and anyone know why it does it?

Mine stopped working once when I had to rock my car out of mud. If i remember it had to do with the number of times the clutch was engaged/disengaged in a certain amount of time. If it happened on the highway are you possibly riding the clutch pedal? If not I'd suspect the switches on the clutch pedal need checking.BTW dissconnecting the battery for about ten minutes reset mine to working.
My control didn't work for me this morning, turned it on, the light on the steering wheel came on and when i hit set nothing happened. it was completely unresponsive. Anyways I will be putting in a call to the dealer to set up an appointment, I'll let you all know what happens.
okay this happened to me as well and took it to the dealer to find out that my carbon fiber hood without the third brakelight was the problem. Because the relay that goes through the cruise control also goes to the tail lights. Missing one or having a blown bulb in the tail (third tail lights have 3 so watch them). That may be your issue there. Hope that helps.
