Now it dosent happen all the time but from time to time when i down gear and put it into second it sounds almost like its grinding a gear and pops into nuetral when i start to let the clutch out. I have the clutch down far enough and its fully in second when i let out the clutch. And yes i do know how to drive manual i`ve been driving manual cars and truck for about 14 years now so it not an unexperenced thing. Has anyone else had this problem with theres. I got a 06 Cobalt SS/SC

 

Nobody know or has a clue. Whats going on here.

 

2nd gear kept popping out on me, downshifts or upshifts. After repeated visits to 2 different dealerships that said they couldn't repeat the problem, I finally told them to keep the car until it was fixed. They called me later that day and said that it popped out of gear for them so they adjusted the linakage. That was it. It's been over a year and it hasn't happened again since.
