Problem with ESC

So i'm having a weird problem with my esc, basically it is kicking in on corners driving at normal speeds when it should not kick in. the message "ESC active" comes on and it turns the abs.

This all started last winter when i hit a curb at about 10 km/h, which turned out to bend my steering rack, so i had that replaced an alignment done, and steering shaft position sensor recalibrated.

I have had it to the local dealership, they say that they cannot figure out the problem :s...

Btw i have a 2009 cobalt ss

Any help, or information would be great

Flaky wheel sensor in the hub on the side that hit the curb, when it flexes going around a corner the sensor probably loses its reading and thinks the wheel is locked up and starts the abs.
This would be my guess.

That would show up on the scan tool right? there are no codes, and all the data is correct according to the dealer.- also they said that they compared data with another cobalt and everything seems to be the same.
It seems to be only when the steering wheel goes past 90 degrees left right.

Why on earth are you going down hills in neutral?

It wouldnt be a code.
They would have to see it on the scan tool while it was happening.(watching the input from the wheel sensor while turning the corner)
Tell them to try it .espesially if its the same wheel that being affected every time.

You are aware that your injectors shut off while coasting above certain RPM's right? Thus using the compression of your engine as a brake.

While coasting in neutral your using gas to idle.

Injectors off > idling.

Sorry for ruining your thoughts on getting better mileage . Not to mention you should be in gear should you ever need to power out of a situation.
