looking for some input here before i go back to the dealer.

I came off the highway a little while ago, all was fine, perfect as can be.
took the exit to my off ramp, again, all was fine, but...

when I came to the stop sign, and began to turn ( hard left ) the car was shaking, bumping and jerking through the wheel, I slowed down to a crawl and began to straigtin the wheel out, it went away. so I drove 30 seconds up the road slowly, just incase something did fail on it, pulled another left and it happened again, this time, i kept the wheel cut and tried to listen,
the best i can discribe the noise is a light grinding, scuffing, rubbing noise.
it wasnt overly loud, but it was very noticable.
after hearing it, I stopped the car, and got out to look for anything jammed in the wheel well or maybe around the wheel or brakes, and nothing, all looks clear, nothing noicable, i cut the wheels full lock to lock and looked in, and could not see anything there, anything out of place, or anything even dirrty for that matter, there is only 6000 kms on the car.

I got very nervous over this, with feeling it in the steering wheel, and the car bumping and shaking as hard as it did, and then hearing the noise, I really dont feel safe driving the car, I crawled home only 1km down the road, and checked again, looked very well with 2 flash lights and 2 freinds, neither of us spotted anything out of the ordinary..

anyone have any suggestions to what this could be ? what i could look for ?
or even what i can do to get it to my local dealer, its 50 kms away and all highway, and i dont feel safe doing that with how the car just acted, will they tow it for me if nessesary ?

damn that doesnt sound too good. dont know what to tell you about that.

 

cv joints maybe.... you do any hard launches on it

 

Definately sounds like an axle or differential problem. I would take it to the dealer and get it fixed ASAP.

 

If you call them they might tow it for ya. I can't see why not since it's brand new and under warrenty. If they won't your insurence company might! Good luck

 

no hard launches at all, no hard driving at all for that matter.

I took it over today, the noise is still there, but its not as bad as it was last night.
I told them my problems, how it happened and what it was doing.
after that he said and I quote " Ill see if I can get ya in next week sometime to look at it".
so after that, Im a little takin back by what he said, so I proced to tell him I dont feel safe in the car, and that it seemed like a somewhat drastic problem.
he said " Ill see what I can do".
after that, I asked could I leave the car here, and asked if they could give me a loaner or soemthing, and he actually laughed at me and said no.
needless to say the car is in my driveway right now, sitting there cause im very concerned to drive it at the moment.
I have an "appointment for a check" this coming Wednesday.

Im completly blown away how the service department treated me today,
not only the service worker, but the service manager at all.
with a brand new car that I just dropped 30 grand on and that has only 6000kms on it, I think its only fair I get treated with a little more respect and a little more care from the dealer.
