Problem with headlights

I am having a slight issue with my headlights. When my car is off and I use my remote to unlock the doors, both headlights light up until I open my door. Then when I get in the car and turn on the headlights only one of the headlights work.

I am kinda confused since there is only one headlight bulb, as to why it will work when I unlock my car, but not when I turn the car on.

Has anyone run into this problem before?

think they flash high beams when unlocking. the main headlight bulb is a dual bulb (high and low beams). you can lose either high or low beams, without losing the other, on the same bulb.

Great, that answers my question. I thought that if one went the whole thing went.
