they don't have a fix for it i've had mine to the dealer 8 times they will run injector cleaner and tell u to change gas stations. i just got a new one today they said someome might have dumped soda in my gas tank. GM doesn't care how to fix. i believe that it's either the lining of the gas tank falling apart
or bad fuel lines
it will return in about three months from no mine started at about 14,000 miles and i have 31,000 on my car now.
what we need to do is get a list of names of 2.4 owners with the same issue and demand gm to remedy this issue because i know we are not the only ones with this problem, the sps they don't have an update for the misfire that was straight from gm communications for the gm techs. i worked at the dealership for 2 years

your simply could have been from the upgrades and a reflash was all u needed but mine is still stock because i don't want to start upgrading until this is resolve might cause further damage because it runs a lean condition when it misfires. they would run fuel injection cleaner through and reflash the ecu it would be good for about three months and it would start up again. gm knows they have the issue.thats why mines going in monday for a new gas tank fuel pump fuel line flush new coils and spark plugs all covered under warrenty
and thats only after i called gm customer service number for lemon lew rights

Hows the fuel filter,I would think that the crap in the tank would never get through it and would plug it to the point when you go wot you would be starved for fuel from that causing the misfires.
Have you tried putting gas line antifrezze in on a fill up incase your getting watered down gas,it will disperse the water.
Give it a try

the service manager said he talk to the gm tech line they are aware of the issue. gm engineers used a cobalt with the misfire and did a fuel tank flush and they havn't had the problem reappear yet. the dealership just wants to make sure that if the problem does return they know it has nothing to do with the fuel system. i still think its the lining of the tank because of the fuel filter issue that the lining is breaking down and when it gets near the heat of the engine it gums up the nozzle of the injectors.they do the anti-freeze thing the same time they do the injector cleaner. i've got'n about 3 tanks of free fuel from the dealership

About once or twice a month I'll get the code p0300 for random misfire. I only knew that I had it because I have a interceptor and never noticed a reduction in performance of mileage. Brought it to the dealer 3 times and they tried to say that it may be my guage. No ill efects so i dont worry about it.

My car has never had less than 93 octane and when i logged it on the tech 2 is showed random misfires all across the board . They never showed up at wot , but when blurping the gas when down shifting to mesh the gears , and when i would let off the gas and let the engine slow me down . It hasn't thrown a code or popped a light so the dealer put some injector cleaner in and said to stop back . Let me know if you guy's find out anything .

used from a member. It is not the guage. That is a bullshit excuse because they cant figure it out. I had it unplugged for a week and plugged it back in and wouldnt u know it it had a p0300 code. On a side note I did get a p0420(cat inefficent on bank 2 after cat) a couple nights ago but cleared it and it hasnt shown up again.

i'm having a misfire problem with my ss/sc..i keep going through plugs also..
are the reflashes they have out considered "new calibration"?? and could fuel level sensor cause misfires and burnt plugs?
