Random P0335

Last night I was driving around town. The car was running perfectly fine, then the check engine light flashed, and the car died. I tried to start it, and it would turn over but it wouldn't start. I scanned it with my Ultra-Guage, and it came up with the P0335. I cleared the code and then the car fired right back up and has been perfectly fine ever since. From my understanding the code is described as a crankshaft position sensor. Could this have been a random occurrence? Or should I have it looked at?

It could be going bad. I just had mine go bad last month, and it's a pain to deal with if you're on the road driving and suddenly your engine just dies. Then it won't start until the engine cools down a lot.

It's easy to change but kind of a pain to get too. It's also only like $25 from the dealer. I followed a guide on the redline forums. (google it, this forum blocks links) and I followed everything besides removing the starter. It's not required if you have a long needle nose plier.

Hmm. See the thing is, my engine didn't cool down at all. I just cleared the code, and it fired right back up, with no problems since.
