Rapid Ticking Noise When At FUll Boost

I hope to god this is nothing major, but then I get on the gas in my car in 2nd and 3rd gear I am hearing a really fast ticking noise when the boost get up around peak levels. It isn't terribly loud but it is definitely noticable.

When at Idle the car sounds fine and at normal cruising speeds it's fine as well. I havn't noticed a power loss and I can't get the noise to happen in any other gear than 2nd and 3rd.

Has anyone heard this type of noise in their car? What can I do to try and diagnos this issue?

I had my oil changed today and spoke to my mechanic about the noise. He said it could be detonation. Anyone have these issues?

It could be knock, your sig says you have an aeroforce guage, can't you look at knock with that? If you are getting detonation you should take it easy or you may melt a piston. If that is the case you may need a new tune....

Just throwing out some suggestions...

I am getting a lot of KR. Upwards of 5* at times.

I am just going to baby the car until the spring when I get it retuned. Hopefully there is no permanent damage.
