Rear-ended and need help
I was rear-ended yesterday. Luckily it was by a good friend and not some stranger lol. There are some gouges in the rear bumper and the whole bottom lip right under the license plate was folder up (bent really bad). He has agreed to pay for everything. I have been searching for a OEM replacement bumper but cant seem to find a decent site for the ss/sc. I am also confused on what I would need to get to fix it. If I grab the bottom of the bumper by exhaust and pull it gives about 3 inches like its not attached. Could anyone estimate on what I would need to get to fix it? I was thinking cover, absorber...maybe some mounting hardware? Does anyone know any good sites that would ship a bumper painted with hardware?
thanks
thanks
I dont know of any sites that would ship already painted..... GM Parts Direct: Your direct source for Genuine GM Parts should help you find what parts you need
i have a base model LS i had an eclipse rear end me and shove me up under a yukon and totaled 5200$ in damages. 4200 to the front and 1000 to the rear. and all they did was replace my bumper and paint it. so id say expect between 1000-2000$
you should convince this friend of yours to claim it on his insurance. That way you don't have to worry about fixing it yourself.
I definitely would prefer to hit a stranger. As long as they have insurance. Stupid ******* that dont..
