Am I missing something, or is it impossible to replace the rear portion of the fuel lines (rear passenger door to fuel filter) with a new pre-bent steel section without dropping either the exhaust or rear axle?

All the videos and tutorials I found conveniently skip explaining how they fished a solid pre-bent fuel line back up over the axle. The GM service information also was missing info, as far as I could tell they acted as-if there were no exhaust or axle.

This is on an 09 LT.
