Reduced Engine Power and P0068
Reduced Engine Power and P0068
The past couple times my 06 cobalt ss/sc which is completely stock has gone into reducded engine power mode and thrown the p0068 code..
I have seen a few topics about this code and what it may relate to with the maf and other sensors.. Most of the the topics have been issues on cars with mods though.
Anything I should start to look for? Could a dirty air filter or airbox do this?
Thanks Jake

Start with this
Inspect for the following conditions:
• Vacuum hoses for splits, kinks, and proper connections as shown on the Vehicle Emission Control Information label--Inspect thoroughly for any type of leak or restriction.
• Air leaks at throttle body mounting area and intake manifold sealing surfaces

Do you have a CAI on the car?
Even if you dont check the intake tube for a hole wore in it where it passes through the fender wall and another bad spot is where it turns towards the throttle body and maybe rubbing on the rad support ,On mine I had to put a peice of foam due to a hole starting wear there.

No there is no CAI on it. I will check the intake tube some more.. I bought it recently and do not know when the air filter was changed so I was going to do that to see if that might be the cause..
