Either my remote start is messed up or my remote is going bad. When i push the button to remote start the vehicle, it instead trips the alarm. Three chirps like I hit the panic button.

I had the B&M shift plus kit installed. I had to shave the shielding off the wires because I couldnt make heads or tails of the wire taps they gave me. I currently have them electrical taped off where i shaved the shielding. Think that might be causing this issue?

My GF is coming over later tonight and has an extra remote for my car, im going to try that and see if her remote works. The remote that she has is the back up for my car.

Well, the GF came over sooner than i thought and I tried the other remote and It seems to be functioning normally. So the one remote I have is faulty.
