it's quite simple. just make sure the fuse goes back in the right spot

if you try to start your car and it doesn't start, it's probably because of the fuse.

Does this apply to the LNF as well? I couldn't find a fuel filter for the 08-09 SS/TC in any of the catalogs.

I almost looked at it the other day, but didn't. I'm guessing it's the same, but don't quote me.

The key to changing the fuel filter is putting fuse back in the right spot and have the right fuel line release tool and using it correctly.

I took pictures of the rear and I didn't find a fuel filter. I saw the evap canister stuff but I can't figure out where they hid the fuel filter. I didn't look under the forward part of the car yet.

I have the white Lisle fuel and A/C tools that look like bottle caps. From experience, they work a LOT better than the clamp style tools. You just pop these white caps into place and the spring couplers are disengaged.

Look in the how-to I show the tool I used. It was the only one I could get to work and it took me 15 minutes to figure it out.

exactly. it won't come off without the correct disconnect tool, which you can get at any auto parts store. the set above is what I have. it was a set listed for all gm vehicles with various sizes. push it in, and it should release the lines.

In Rodimus's defense, I have heard numerous complaints about other fuel disconnect tools. The ones I posted (the Lisle white plastic versions) are highly regarded among Ford gearheads. They seem to do the job quite nicely since they're compact and easy to use. I would recommend giving those a try before you give up. You basically jam the plastic tools into the spring coupling.

I found that once I had the right tool is was more of a problem of figuring out how to use it.

You insert the took that helps depress the flat plates. Push the filter all the way to the driver side to make sure the plates depress and then pull to passenger side. I pulled and tried everything for ten minutes then it just came off. I got a good laugh at the end.
