hey quick question....ive hit the fuel cutoff/rev limiter a few times since ive had this car (2007 G5 GT) and when i do its pretty scary....im just wondering if theres any damage in doing this....i immediately put the clutch down and upshift when it happens

 

If it's anything like the sunfire (Which I bannged the needle off 171 KPH ) then no, nothing will go bad, it just cuts off the fuel supply for a second.

 

hahahaha this happened to me in my 07 ss. still trying to get used to the stick i started going in first and i guess i forgot i had to shift into 2nd. scared the **** out of me when it hit the limiter ha

 

no damage thats what its there for. dont do it to much though to muich is not good

 

Like they said, there should be no problems as long as you don't do it all the time. It does tend to happen once in awhile. I've done it also, she just pulls so hard..lol

lol i liked my rev limiter in my 01 camaro more... cut the fuel off completely.

 

No damage will be caused...it's there to keep you from over revving past an unsafe zone.

 

The tach is there for a reason, watch it.

 

ive been missing third lately i think it has to do with my broken hand hopefully i dont blow my motor

 

man i wish these things would bounce off red, instead of just cut off. personsal preference i guess

 

yeah im not focusing too much on the tach when im accelerating hard onto the highway...too many dumbasses in ny and nj who see u merging on the highway and speed up so u cant get in
