I have the same problem, it is not the fuse for me. Both bulbs are good, I am guessing this is the source of the problem for me

I'm having the same issue. Bulbs look great and replacing the fuse did nothing. I'm well out of warranty so has anyone here fixed this themselves?

Thanks,

Scott

I haven't fixed mine, haha. The fuse and bulbs are good for me, too. I just never really use reverse because I always park "backwards" anyway. I'm sure I'll eventually change the switch, tho. Just not anytime soon.

I have the same problem on my 09 SS/TC. It has less than 100 miles on the odometer, so I am ruling out fuses and bulbs. I noticed my reprogrammable performance display (RPD) no longer displays any gear numbers and the shift indicator isn't working. I recall that just before the gear indicator malfunctioned, the RPD was telling me that I was in 2nd gear when I was in 5th gear. Later that afternoon, that entire gauge went gray (no bar graph RPM or gear indicator).

I don't have the FSM for 08-09 SS/TC's so I am going to look into my Haynes for 05-07 Cobalts. I think the F35 was still being used back then, if not - it should have a similar switch or sensor.

I think I have the same problem...it USED to be that my lights would sometimes work and sometimes not. Now, they don't come on at all. I've got a 2006 SC. How do I replace the tranny switch that seems to be causing the problem? And what's the P/N for that switch?
