Dead battery ? Maybe has enough juice to run the radio but not enough cold cranking amps to turn the starter ? Just my thoughts ...

Starter relay ? Starter itself .... Maybe even on of the fusses. I have heard of the alarm module ebm ( i think thats what its called ) going bad and not letting the car start.

Where do I check the starter?

Now that I think about it my 'security' light came on and stayed on. How would I check that? It did this last night btw

11 volts is kinda low, you could have a dead cell in your battery. Iv had this problem with other cars, batt reads ok but as soon as you try to start it. nothing

When you turn the key to start it, does your headlights dim to almost nothing? If so, it is the battery....

In all honesty. I'm not really sure. Most of the times its a dealer thing. Normally they go defective and need to be replaced. From what i've heard any ways. I'd also do like one other guy suggested and double check your battery.

Well that could be the clutch safty switch under your clutch pedal. Sure your floor mat isn't covering it by mistake ?

I'm assuming it was power on no crank? If so I'm pretty amazed that nobody has been right so far yet, although Seller is close. It's because it's cold out.

Happens every year when the temperature drops. Kinda surprised there isn't a sticky about it over here yet. It happens a lot.

Man, i live in Canada and it been -35 degrees celcius here in the maritimes for the past few weeks. And my ss/sc starts up everymornig like a champ. Peers like a kitten too. Sometimes it even sits for 2 straight days and still starts fine. But i guess every car is differnent !

Yeah, it's not necessarily every car that has this problem (mine hasn't ever, knock on wood), but it's a common occurrence with vehicles that use the ignition switch we have. Every winter we'd have 4-5 threads on RLF complaining about it, so I finally made a thread.
