Running Lean with CAI
Running Lean with CAI
Hey guys have the injen cai for the ss s/c with custom 3 inch exhaust and I had it dynoed the other day and around 5700 rpm the car starts to run lean I was wondering if anyone else is haveing this problem or is the intake sucking up too much air. In cas you are wondering my a/f was arond 13.5 when this started to happen. And one more word of advice do not by the spec stage2 until it comes with a replacement bearing and allignment tool becaue it makes funny noise at start up like a clicking, and if you press the clutch in too far it makes a funny noise can't describe it, and the install was right.

hey just got back from work will post the dyno sheet tomorrow and i have a side by side with another cobalt from that dyno with just exhaust and he is running almost flat 12 all the way. by the way ran a 14.5 last night with a 2.3 sixty foot and running lean. P.S. The dyno is only a month old and it is top notch all wheel drive dyno.

It still even made the noise after 500 miles of wearing in the clutch. Then recently i raced against my friend's Trans Am ws6 to see how my SS could hold up, and the cheap clutch just ended up slipping uncontrollably coming out of adjustment. (i thought i glazed it but i barely slipped it myself if at all while racing) Also, that noise happens when i push the clutch pedal down normal amounts and i only need to push the pedal down an inch to fully disengage it. SPEC just better be willing to replace my faulty clutch.
