I have a MAP sensor problem with my GMS1 upgrade that just starting showing up after ~two years. I intermittently get P0106.

I got SCANXL with GM add-ons and I see the following:

GM.ENGINE.MAP_SENSOR_B fluctuates a lot (1-3V) during idle and GM.ENGINE.MAP_PERF_TEST2 fails on and off as well.

I cleaned the top sensor, replaced the sensor and I see the same issue.

I checked wiring and it seems OK.

I haven't tried replacing the bottom sensor as this seems to be related to the top sensor.

Not sure what the MAP PERF TEST2 means or what MAP_SENSOR_B related to (lower or upper MAP).

I think it probably is the lower MAP that has the problem. I will investigate tomorrow...

Any ideas?

 

i had an issue with mine, ended up being the lower senser near the ac was rubbing and grounding out, check that out. if someone told me that it would have saved me $1000
