"Service Air Bag" after new steering wheel install.
I know I've read that some of you have had this problem before but I can't find any of the threads now.
Anyway........... Today I installed a leather steering wheel with cruise and steering wheel controls. The wheel is a GM wheel from eBay. My car had cruise from the factory. The wheel is from a 2008 and my car is also a 2008. When I finished installing the wheel and turned the power back on, the "service air bag" message displayed in the DIC and my cruise controls in the wheel don't work but my audio controls do. Any help??
P.S..................I didn't turn the steering column while the wheel was off, but the face of the clockspring moved a little while I was disconnecting the wiring harness. I thought I read somewhere that you weren't supposed to use the wiring from a wheel were the airbag had been blown.............so that might be my problem...............but I can't find the information.
Thanks!

Problem Solved
For the record, this morning I removed the airbag clockspring and recentered it on the steering column. Everthing works fine now. I must have rotated something enough to have uncentered it.
