Switch Issues
Switch Issues
Alrighty, well, I've been having issues on and off with the window switches on the driver side working intermittently, and the passenger side power lock button doesn't work at all.
I've taken it apart (the switch cover and switch), and usually after I do that, it seems to work to my amazement. Nothing changes other than the fact that I've removed the switch.
Any ideas? No connections seem to be loose, so its mildly irritating not knowing if my windows will go down or back up.
Thanks guys

Get it replaced under warranty if you can.
Check the tightness and straightness of the pin on the connectors and the actuation of the toggles for the switches something is either broken or wore out.
Also take a good look at the pins for pitting and discoloration which are a good sign of a bad connection.

Unfortunately, the warranty is done...so I'm on my own.
I have yet to pull the actual connector out of the switch itself, thats the next thing thats gonna happen...Ill make sure to check that for sure.
Thanks

Could also be an issue with the harness where it passes through between the door and the a pillar.
The wires pass through a rubber boot but they get flexed every time you open / close the door, flex them enough and they will break.
