Service Dept. WTF?

Alright so I just bought my 07' SS/SC last week and upon getting her home notice moisture build-up inside the driver's headlamp. I call the dealer where I bought it(almost 2 hours away) and they tell me it's a warranty issue and just take it to the nearest dealer.

I call my local Chevy dealer and the service rep tells me moisture is not covered in our warranty and that because our system is vented just to turn my highbeams on to burn off the moisture??? WTF?

If this is true then why the hell is the passenger light crystal clear?

I call a second dealer and they tell me it IS covered unless there is a crack in the lens OR if the seal has been broken... HELP.

If you just bought it the dealer needs to replace it. The seal is bad.

Had the same problem with my drivers side head lamp....take it out remove all the wiring and then empty the water out off the housing...when the cleaning dept from where bought it probably used a pressure washer to clean the car and held to close which caused water the slip between the hood and into the small vents in the headlight...this is what I did and had no problems

Doesnt that still leave watermarks inside the lens? The moisture inside my light comes and goes with the weather so I think it's a bad seal... but I'll be damned if this isn't covered under warranty. I've only got 23,000 miles on it ****!

I had the same problem, and the dealer told me that that is normal??? So I had a few friends who rented a cobalt LT, and asked them if I could swap out the headlights, and ALL of them said no way... Well one of my friends rented another one, and I had asked him if I could do a preformance comparision between the LT & the SS, he reached in his pocket and pulled out his keys and said don't break it, well 10 minutes later I went back to him and said thanks. Now when he got back in his rented car he had no idea of what I just did, till 2 weeks later when he showed up in an Avenger, and I told him what I did, he laughed his ass off and thought it was some funny **** right there... he said he never would have let me do a "performance comparision" if he knew what I was up to... so my 05' now has 08' headlights... try it if the dealer wont do anything for you...
