Shaking/vibration under acceleration

So in the last couple of days my car started shaking under acceleration. It shakes/virbrates the most from about 40-50mph, but if I'm just cruising or let off the gas, it stops. The only things I can think of are worn out cv joints, or the wheels are out of balance, although if that were the problem I would think it would shake all the time instead of just while accelerating.

Any other ideas?

I would recommend taking the vehicle into your local dealership to be diagnosed. They should be able to assist you further and have a plan for addressing the issue. If you have further concerns, please feel free to contact me directly by private message. Thank you.

Tricia, Chevrolet Customer Service.

Is it just the steering wheel shaking? If so thats common of tire balancing issues

Id put my money on CV.
Its more stressed when your accelerating. WHenyou let off the gas or cruise,
there isnt much torque going through it.

An out of balance tire vibrate the most at about 70mph, and it will vibrate while under steady speed such as cruise or letting off the gas.

What your describing I had happen a few times in my old car, and it was the CV Axel both times.

It's basically the whole front of the car.

A little update. It stopped completely for a little bit, then started again but only faintly, until today. Driving to work was fine, nothing, then driving home it was really bad. I've had an alignment recently and my wheels/tires balanced not even a week ago so it has to be drivetrain related.

Saturday night I noticed after doing a couple of launches and hard 1-2 shifts it got worse, and the clutch started to slip on the 1-2 shift and maybe a little even at WOT in 1st.

Sounding like a cv axle more and more. Why don't you jack it up and have a look see?
