Dealer will fix it up. If your car is a 2005 the whole shift knob may rip off eventually. Its not even bonded on.

don't glue it on yourself let the dealer replace it thats what a warrantys for. they fixed mine had to wait because it was on backorder. just thinking if you glue it on yourself it might mess your warranty up

If you let the dealer fix it it's just going to keep falling back off again. Superglue / Gorilla glue FTW!!!

they will still cover it under the warranty. i had mine covered for ripping off along with the trim that goes around the moon roof button. the trim that goes around the window controls and the door handle started rubbing off as well and the service lady where i took my car took it upon herself to order me all new ones since the paint was wearing off. so if you just take it in shouldnt be a problem.

Actually there is a bullitin for this problem, mine fell off 2 weeks ago and found out some knobs acutally fall completely off. The bolt in the center holding it on need to be removed and be locktited back on cause when it starts pushing up it makes the cover fall off. And yeah if your under warranty it should be covered under you bumper to bumper.

I did the same thing. Isn't it those little prongs that hold the cap on that are breaking? Cause I think that is what happened with mine.
