Ok i read 100 threads about people shift linkage breaking . but they seem to all be under the shifter , I was driving the other night , almost hit a moose , jammed it in second to get by it or else I would have hit it !. Mine was the linkage coming from the transmission , just that plastic sleeve , and now it keeps coming off . any solution to fix this beside's buying the same Junk 300$ cable !!! or anything aftermarket !!! It looses 2nd . 4th . rev ..

Dealer probably has the clips to buy seperate,maybe you can find another on made of steel that will fit from another type of vehical.
The clip breaking I think was a fluke all they do is hold it on and there shoulnt be any real strain on it.

 

Ya the gm dealer is going to wield a nut to it .. said he bought the new cable and broke again !
