Skirt help
Skirt help
Okay, so here's my problem. Recently I was in a "accident" at a local gas station, the metal plates that cover where the tankers put the gas in the ground kicked up and ripped up my drivers side skirt, bottom part of door, and slightly pulled the front quarter panel away from the door, (about a quarter inch from door). Now insurance gave me a check for $1,105.84 for a new skirt, and bottom little like, section of door, and the rest is paint and clear coating. Now, I kind of want to just cash the check, and buy a new drivers side skirt, and put it on myself. A. How much does it cost for just a side skirt? B. Can I get it silver, or does it have to be painted and clear coated? C. Can I get away with any of that? And D. Should I do it, or just give the auto shop the check and let them fix it? Because honestly the only part that is messed up is the side skirt, it is ripped straight up from the bottom to about 3/4 of the way to the top about 3 inches from the front of the skirt. I really am tempted to just cash the check, and go to Chevy and have them order me a skirt and then put it on myself. Any thoughts, comments, insults etc?
Thanks.
Thanks.
