Slight Bucking

Ok, here goes...Occassionaly in second gear if I were driving easy my 07 SS/SC would buck a little. I installed my Injen intake today, no CEL by the way (made sure to disconnect battery) and she seemed to have bucked a lil more. This time in second as well as a bit in third. Could this be because of fouled plugs, or could I just be in need of an HP tune to adjust AF ratios and all?? Thanks guys..

this has happened on mine aswell before and after i had the gm stage 2 installed on my 06 ss/sc. not sure what it is but at one point it felt as if my clutch just didn't fully engage when the pedal was released. it's strange because sometimes when you hold the gas steady partial throttle it feels as if someone is playing with the throttle... like releasing the gas and pressing it again for a split second. hope i don't confuse anyone with that explaination... i'm already confused myself. maybe i should be sleeping now instead of raoming the internet, while at work... hope the boss doesn't find out!!

That sounds alot like the problem that I have. Not all the time though, and it isn't a cold running deal either. Weird

Likewise with my 2.2... I was kinda hoping that I would run into the answer right now... I thought it might be my clutch but I don't know... My car also makes a strange noise like it's straining when I shift normally... you know, every 3,000 rpms... higher rpms and it's no problem...

I don't think my problem is the clutch per-say. When it happens it's normally in second gear at low RPM's and she bucks a lil when I hit the gas to get movin. Like a fouled plug, or like she's strugglin to get fuel for a momment, then it's good. Doesn't happen all the time.

I get the exact same problem. There is a bulletin out for valve deposits, which could be something. It's not plugs, or it would do it more often. I also have different plugs in my car. I get it like you say, at low rpms in second gear, it hesitates and pulses until the rpms climb a little.

I dont know, you don't want to have to take it apart to clean it. Try showing them, and ask what they can do about it. MAKE SURE YOUR CAR IS STOCK!!! Driveability is the main problem with any aftermarket, the car is not programmed to see anything other than stock.

You could try some fuel injector cleaner, since it would spray on the valves. Do yourself a favor and don't buy the cheapest **** you can find, get something decent. Should be less than $10.

Ok smart ass...I know how to drive a manual tranny. This doesn't happen right when first shifting into second, it happens upon acceleration after shifting into second. It's a hesitation problem, like a clogged injector type feel. Doesn't last long and doesn't happen all the time.

Thats good to hear. Unfortunatly I have to wait for Gm as well as Hp tuners to get the new 07 ECU mapped out before I can get it tuned. lol

Thanks man. That makes me feel a bit better. Tend to worry bout the small **** on these new cars. I think I'm gonna put some injector cleaner in there anywayz, with the humidity like it is here I don't think it'll hurt.

Thats what I meant. I have to incorporate more gas sometimes when im already engaged. Im sorry if I strike you as a smart ass but im only trying to explain that the clutch and throttle are super sensitive. Mine still bucks if i slip into 2nd and let go of the gas completley or if I give it too much it just starts jumping around. I think its just normal.

My mistake, I assumed you were making judgments about my lack of driving skills. I also have made adjustments to help keep her from buckin but I wanted to know what the cause could be instead of just avoiding it. Thanks though

Yeah I am a smart ass, sorry about that. Im the guy that avoided the problem by getting used to it. When people try my car its allways a laugh when they shift to second because nobody gets it right and smooth.

you sir are dead on, with my new stage 2 flah, it cleans up alot of things, BUT like you said, if yer not careful with the clutch vs throttle when shifting from first to second you can buck the car, its sensitive that way, but with the new flash, i tired to buck the car on purpose, and you still can but its no where near as harsh.

I believe it has something to do with the A/F and Throttle position. I know there was a TSB and flash for this on 05 and 06 vehicles.
