Its not just a s/c thing my 2.2 does it too but i think maby it has to do with it being cold, i only notice it in the morning........

My 2.2 bucks as well but only sometimes and I could have been already driving for a while... I'm going to change the fuel filter (stupid GM... you'll know what I'm talking about if you try to buy a filter for your car) and put the additive in my car and see what it does... but does your car make a grunting noise when you shift and wait for the rpm's to climb?

if by grunting you mean sorta a grinding noise, mine does it when the revs are low, really low like at 1500rpm or so, i just try to keep it around 2000 or higher.

i also notice i get a "chirp" noise just before 3000 rpm, does anyone else get that?

Was the car warmed up at the time I noticed bucking when the car is cold.
I have an AEM intake on mine. Once warmed up it runs great.

Well, mine hasn't bucked in like two weeks but I don't want to speak too soon... as far as the grunting noise, I changed my shift pattern... less conservative on fuel now but at least I don't shift in front of ppl and they think I need engine work... I upshift at 3200 now and use 1st gear instead of 2nd from a roll of 15mph or less.

i had the same prob with my 2.2 and it threw a cel. took it to the dealership and they diagnosed it as a faulty ignition control module, they replaced it and its been fine since. not sure if this would be applicable to the ss/sc.

thats pretty much what i do, my friend has an 06 jetta tdi, it grunts no matter almost all the time. i told him that there's gotta be a problem with it. but maybe not. he says its normal cause the car, including mine is new, its gotta work in the clutch ( both are 5spd)

If it is deposits then Injector cleaner is in order. I myself use lucas. That stuff burns hardcore if you spill it on anything. I had chemical burns on my hand from sneezing when I was putting it in a can of gas for my brother's ATV.

If you mean like a temporary blip in the throttle every 2-3 seconds when your trying to accelerate then yes I have the same thing. Only noticed it after the Stage II install and usually in 3rd gear but its not that intrusive. I figure its just the GM tuning but wat do I know.

lol a moderator with an acura...there's a fountain of useless knowledge....tell me they own some kind of GM vehicle.

yea it's something like that but it's like the gas pedal is released and then pressed again. when my car does it its for about a four days at a time and gets me really mad .and also when i shift it's like the damn clutch its playing around with me.. it acts as if a beginner is driving the car (it bucks back and forth as if i pressed the gas too hard or let go of the clutch too quickly). even if i completely let go of the gas and shift slowly into gear, then pause, and press the gas lightly after it's in gear it'll hesitate a little.

When are you shifting? At slightly higher rpms I noticed my Cobalt is a spoiled brat. It has to be pampered ever so perfectly or it'll through a tantrum.
