small banging noise under car

Hi guys i have a 06 cobalt ss sc and when im driving slow on a rough road a banging noise starts under the car.also happens sometimes when i turn the steering wheel.maybe a problem with the steering? I have warranty from gm so if something is wrong they can fix it but just wanted to see if anyone has had this problem.thanks

Sway Bar, happened to me, is it in the front somewhere? I had to replace mine and my friend had to replace his not to long ago because of the same thing.

I had the same problem, annoying noise that sounds from the front underside of the car! New front sway bar links fixed it, now it drives like a lexus haha

Yup lol, I think it's a normal thing for a cobalt, happened to me around 65k and my friend around 40k

Yeah I started hearing the noise around 78k I couldn't go more than a week with it making that noise before it really started to bother me! I have heard that it is common with certain chevy cars. Just before I changed mine we had to change the ones in my grandmothers HHR

mine does that too i was told it was the exhaust hitting the sway bar. so i probly need a new one. could it be because mine is lowered and i have headers and bigger exhaust all the way back?

I'd say either end links or control arm bushings. I was getting a clunking noise and it wasn't the end links but it was the control arm bushings

I don't think it's hitting your sway bar.... does it do it at idle?
