small problem with door panel

i recovered my inserts on my door, i cannot get my passendger side door insert to stay in. the drivers side is doing great. the problem is that i dont have a lot of the original pegs to epoxy the insert to. is there any suggestions you guys can give me to hold it tight, maybe somehow extend the plastic pegs? thank you.

What type of epoxy are you using ? Some epoxys dont work to well with polypropelene plastic ( what our interior panels are made of ) . I've never had my Door inserts out , but I do alot about plastics ( its my job ) . I would try a qwik set epoxy specifically for plastic . If thats already what youve used , try GOOP or Gorilla glue .

Or try filling the holes with JB weld , and push the pegs thru while the jb weld is still soft . when it dries it will never move again , hehe

Polypropelene is a bitch to bond back together .

If theres was alot of the peg left , a "propane" torch used carfully coulda worked . If u heated up the tip without melting it completely and tried to re-emulate the plastic sonic weld .

1/4" self tapping sheet metal screws with large washers.

Pre-drill small holes into the plastic posts that originally held the insert on. Screw into there. There is a how-to on this;
