Mos likely cause is an animal ate through or road debris damaged a part of your EVAP system.

You need to find the source, fuel VAPOR is what ignities.............

If you can smell it theres a leak, not necessarily a liquid leak, like I said most likely cause is a damaged vapor line.

I have noticed mine has just started smelling like gas lately. You found a crack at the top of your fuel pump housing? Did you fix it? Did it work?

If youre car has california emissions, the cracked pump may be covered for 150,000 miles.

Do you think this would be covered under my powertrain 60,000, I have an extended but would rather not pay the deductible. Sorry if I jacked this thread, similar problem want to try to get resolved.

No, the fuel pump is not covered under the powertrain warranty.

It would be great for these guys if it is though, but I dont wanna give out false hope.

It was the throttle body housing, the dealer is fixing it and should be good as new.. Funny thing is I have 36000 miles... Quick to go!
