smoking on restart

So today my car was taken by my father to have the frame pulled out and straightened. The car has been sitting for a number of monthes (exact time unknown) it only has 46,000 miles on it as well. He started it today for the first time (without me being there) to back it off the trailer into a garage and he noticed on startup, the car smoked a little bit. This somewhat concerns me and was wondering what yalls opinions on this could be.

Is it simply because its been setting still for so long and the oils has sat dorment in the pan or could it be a more serious problem maybe due to the collision??

any input is appreciated...

oh and just for the record i bought it wrecked so know very little about the accident.

if it was a puff i wouldnt worry its just residue and what not left on the mottor and other thing s accumulating in the motor and exhaust.. nothing to worry about let it run for a little it will clear any water or contaminates from the gas and it wont smoke anymore... it doesnt sound like anything i would worry about

Oil probably seeped past the valve seals over time, not to worry ,wont see it again most likely..
Had a car that did that every morning because of the seals (it had almost 250,000kms on it though.)
And only ever in the morning.
Dont worry about it !

good to know! i'm more confident now, it only did it that once and hasn't since from what the guy said who's pullin it now. funny problem there tho, my car sits too low to hang the guages from (they hit the floor) so he has to pull the frame, lift it to measure, set it down and pull some more, lift to measure.. etc. haha at least it will be right eventually
