SO I hit a bump, and my car turned off...?
So i was playin aroung with my buddy in his S4 today, and I went over this bump goin sorta quick (like 45?) and my motor just dies. Everything electrical is still on, brakes ok, lights/ steering ok... engine not on. So it rolls into a parking spot and i try to start it... nothing just keeps trying to trun over. I give it a minute and do it again, it kinda rolls to a start but sputters out real quick. After letting it sit for about 5 minutes i start it up, give it some gas rev it a little and she is fine. Started fine since. OK but what the hell made my motor die?
Will this happen if say i hit something on the freeway?
Backround: never came across this problem. Just had stage GM stage 2 installed 2 days ago.
other mods: Injen intake, poly trans mounts, megan exhaust (axle back)
No engine codes thrown.
No dash lights
no fuel seen around the injectors, i made sure all the injector connections were secure, and they were.

Its a safety thing. It shuts off the motor because it thinks you were in an accident. That way if you really were in a crash, fuel wouldnt be pumped out of the tank all over the wreckage.

i've had this happen 3 times myself... and last time it happened i tried popping the clutch out to see if it would restart and nothing... really creepy... so i shut it off (still rolling around 45mph) and started it like normal and away we went

Haz l33t wheelz.
its a feature a lot of cars have, same with a rollover. I know fords have a system that shuts the engine off in a rollover to avoid starving the engine of oil. Don't know if chevy/Balts do it, but i had a buddy with a mustang, and his sensor was malfunctioning slighty, if he went around corners too fast, his car thought it was rolling over and would shut off haha.
