Cool Spark Plug Cleaning - $ave Big

With NGK 5476 plugs for my tuned LNF going for $10-15 a piece, I was checking out some methods for extending the life of my plugs. This is especially appealing since, with the tune, I've been going through plugs faster than ever.

Here's an interesting video I came across where a guy discusses several approaches, including his favorite: blowing the carbon off with a propane torch.

So has anyone tried something like this with our cars? What are your results or opinions on this?

Ummmm no...

In our cars, it's not so much the plugs getting dirty. It is actual wear on the electrodes.

40-60 is very reasonable, if you can't afford or doesn't want to pay that much you shouldn't drive the car
