Squeaking noise when turning wheels
Squeaking noise when turning wheels
So I've been having a creaking sound coming from the front passenger side wheel area when turning. I found the source of the sound coming from the bellow covering the inner tie rod connection.
When driving straight down the highway I'll sometimes feel my car pull to one side a bit, I'll correct it and and doesn't happen again for a while. The steering issue worsens in windy conditions.
With the cold weather I can't really get out there and work on at the moment. Do you guys think it could just be the inner tie rod needing replaced, or something more with like a rack and pinion problem?
Update:
Creaking noise was definitely coming from the inner tie rod. Removed the outer tie rod end from the wheel and twisted the inner rod left and right, and rotated it big circles. Connected it back to the wheel and the creaking sound is gone. Getting both inners replaced on Monday.
