So I recently cleaned my throttle body because of the problems with the idle. Everything worked fine and dandy. I felt a swifter throttle response, and my gas mileage improved by a good 2 mpg for that tank.


So now though on this fill up, my gas mileage has TANKED. I am getting TERRIBLE city mpg... about 16 versus the old 22.... When I floor it, the car boosts, but it feels sick and not nearly as peppy as before....

So what, bad gas? something broken? The car runs good, idles perfect, drives around normal just fine. Just the mpg and the full throttle power aren't what they were a week ago... What's going on!!?

 

My guess would be dirty maf, does it run rich and shoot alot of black smoke from the exhaust when you get on it?

 

It has been running very rich lately. I guess i'll give that a cleaning and see what happens

 

That's the only thing I can think of, how's your air filter look?

 

I have really bad milage too and can't find the source....its pissin me off......
And says avg speed is 16mph wtf.... And like 17 mpg

Have u checked for boost leaks though?

 

I have not. The air filter was checked and cleaned last summer.
