Stage 4 went to **** today....

Well last night at the track everything went great until i screwed up the clutch a bit on my second run. So it slipped all night. So my first run was the only one where the clutch was hitting and i hit a 14.087 with a 2.211 60' but it was better than any srt-4 i saw.

Anyways, last night i would here a slight, knock/tick when at redline, didnt think too much about it, i then filled up at a BP and it got a little worse. Then i get in the car today and its Ticking/Pinging like CRAZY when under high boost. I also got these to Codes PO172 &PO507, any help with these would be great.

Then i was at a light b/c i was helping someone move and i go to accelerate and the car just bogs, i keep trying to go but it just bogs, not getting any KR or CEL. so i let it idle for a couple sec then try again... again bog... so i shut it off for 5 seconds started it back up and everything worked fine.... i think people are having this same problem.. even stock... all help is appreciated.

What would lead to no knock to a shitload? bad gas? Plugs?

yea here are your codes...

P0172----Fuel Trim System Rich

P0507----Idle Speed High

so your car is runing rich for some odd reason...the intence PCM tune has some awesome AF control so I dont think its that

and the idle is of for an unknown reason to me...

good luck hopw that helps.

have you pulled your plugs yet? That would be the first thing I would do.

Idle to high and rich codes leads me to believe you have an air leak somewhere, or your maff sensor has become contaminated. Also, gap your plugs to .032-.034 and try it again. I also recommend ZEX 8003 plugs.

same set ups for me and ive got 0 problems. been to the track atime as well. they might have a point about the o2 sensor if you hit the exhaust on the guttermight have jarred enough to loosen it up.

You could have potentially 2 problems here. The high idle code on these fly by wire cars is usually a sign of an air leak somewhere in the system on the engine side of the MAFF sensor. Check your injectors for split o-rings, lines on the SC, air intake duct properly installed, etc;

If you hit the exhaust you may have cracked it or broke the seal which cause it to suck air in around the 02 sensr skewing the readings.

Add some torco and see if the KR goes away.

Let me know.

whats torco? octane booster? b/c i have some that i bought just incase it knocked... i just pulled the first plug, the metal ring is fine, everything looks good on it. Im waiting on my buddy to get here with a small gapper so i can gap it lower.

Any ideas on how it changed from not knocking to knocking? and im going to check the torque on the SC bolts to make sure its still torqued correctly. Intake seems to be fine... ill retighten though...

Thanks again for your help... but even though it said it was idleing high from the code.... i didnt notice it...

i thinki know where the leak is coming from, i regapped my plugs, and started it up and you can here a whistle at idle coming from the supercharger... i checked all of the tubes they are fine, i have a feeling it is the gasket... it must have not held up from the re-install but it didnt sound like this before.... could this be it Fast 06?

usally a rul of thumb is to always replace your gasket after you atke it off you could use your hand and feel around if possible and see if you could feel some air comming out

You can also spray carb cleaner around the base of the supercharger to see if you have any leaks, it will idle up if you do

The supercharger gasket is a pretty thick metal gasket, making it quite resiliant. Wednesday when I went to the track, ALL 4 bolts holding my supercharger had come loose! Never threw a code but I tightened them down and ran the best times I had all night. Also, I did not experience any crazy knock so maybe this isn't a problem. But you might as well check them out.
