Exclamation Steering: wandering above 40mph (DANGEROUS)

!!!

My girlfriend drives an 05 SS/SC with about 49k on it. Ever since last night there is a reoccurring issue over 40mph where it feels like the steering wheel isn't connected. The car will wander unless you aggressively try to counter adjust the wheel. You have very limited control of the car when this happens and is quite terrifying while driving. We are certain it wasn't grooves in the road making the car turn back and forth.

Has anybody else had this issue or know any information about it? Possibly relate to the current power steering recall?

Check for abnormal tire wear and proper inflation pressure (Printed on the sticker inside the driver's door frame area)

Get it to the dealer as soon as possible before something happens and have it towed.
You still have warranty so call the dealer and have them pick it up.
